Activating From the Ground Up

The entire body's alignment starts from the feet. Ignore this and you weaken your knees, hips, lower back, and neck! When the feet and ankles are weak, they immediately throw the hips, back, and neck out of alignment. Exercises such as ankle circles and bringing the heels up and down, always making sure the arch is in line with the second and third toes, help to strengthen this area. With flexible feet and ankles we are more able to walk like cats, absorbing the shock of walking on hard surfaces without negatively impacting the rest of the body.
